As a project this year, I'm going to focus on trees. My goal is to photograph, and post 1 photo of a tree each week. I hope you'll join me for this journey, and share your experiences, impressions, and interests along the way.

A rare sunny day in February.
I'm not sure what type of tree this is, but I like it's form. It stands alone on a dirt road, not to far from 34b in Lansing. I'll return in the summer to look at it's leaves to figure out what type of tree it is.
no Kari, my favorite. This tree is symbolic in my mind for the inclusiveness of nature to everything we do. Road is often seen as isolated traveling in a single line, while trees tend to be seen or imagined in groups. I think that this is a false dichotomy and that as this tree stands alone, I feel there is sufficient evidence that nature and human systems (i.e.-infrastructure) are not and should never be disparate of one another.
